Reading Notes Ramayana Part B

-Dasharatha has his funeral, after Bharata seeks to find his brother Rama in the forest.
- Instead of bringing Rama home, he brings sandals back.
-Rama and his brother fight a demon in the forest and fight to bring sita back to them.
- Rama meets Agastya who is a powerful sage and receieves a weapon from him
-Ravanas sister falls in love with rama, but instead seduces his brother- she is instead turned down and mocked and she reacts in anger. 
- Telling her brother of the incident, khara.
- Khara attacks rama but is defeated and Shurpanakha goes to tell her brother, the king of lanka what has happen.
-Ramana and Maricha plan to abduct sita.
- lured by golden deer, that has the voice of Rama.
-Ravana carries sita off to the sky shaped as a bird and she leaves jewerly behind to leave a trail.
-A Curse from the god of Brahma, sita refuses to sleep with him.
-An old woman in an abandoned home named Shabari asks Rama to do her funeral rites for her as she has been waiting on him.

In the village of Yumana lived a woman named Yashoda who had received a unique child from the gods. The child, whose name is Krishna, had supernatural powers and was talented beyond any other child in the village. He was placed in Yashodas bed the night Krishna was born to protect him from his enemies.
