Tuesdays & Wednesdays Reading Notes on one page because of their similarities and order if events What is a Myth? - The word myth is not exactly a word that has a solid definition - We have seen people use this as a word that shows something false - That is actually a myth ( insert joke here ) - Here we have a situation where we don't have solid definition of the word tale because it's described in many different ways - Here we usually see it as a story that is not meant to be taken seriously  -significant and staying power are two essential things that myths show that is why they keep the stories going after thousands and years - We see a lot of myths as origin stories where they describe how the world started - we see many cultures have stories of how the world and the people in it came to be and why they exist - this is a vast subject to tackle considering there are science and religion that fight against these myth stories - we believe that these stories w

I used the crash course video and wrote my thoughts over the video. To start, the video mentions that the topics of Mythology are endless; he describes it as mixing a bunch of different ice cream flavors and slapping a name on it. Many myths are very, very, very old, which is why you can hear a lot of myths told in different ways. Stories get changed over time, and events are added, changed, or taken away from the story over time to modernize it. A lot of these myths are not translated in their original form. People are still unsure about the interpretation of these stories or why they exist. Myth has a blurry line with religion, and it hard to separate them because of their variety of stories. In some myth stories, it explains the origins of life or what we call an "origin story." It contains content for why our earth has these instances, such as why the flowers grow, where the sunsets. Wow! This semester is almost over which seems crazy to me. I feel like this semester really flew by because of how busy I really was. This might be my famous last words for the semester so im going to incorperated everything. When I first started this class, I felt like it was a lot to keep up with and there was a lot of new things to learn which kind of scared me because I thought I was always doing it wrong. I then noticed that there really is no wrong way to blog because of the uniqueness of everyones blog, and every is very different in their own good way. I now have no issue with blogging and I actually learned a lot of important tech tips from this class and a little grammar skills I need to brush up on.I like how everyone is really encouraging about the stories and I create and how I can take pride and publish something I put a lot of time and effort in to. I wish that there were more classed like this where you can show lots of personal interesting details about yourself. I f

-Medusa was hunted by many warriors that wanted the claim of the price of her head. -They were turned to stone by her face -She was only mortal of her four siblings, and was very beautiful -She remain pure for the sake of athena -People came to athenas temple to see medusa and all her beauty -Athena started to notice it and became upset with medusa and became to resent her for her looks -People were taken with medusas beautiful hair -When Medusa was walking along the story, she was confronted by Poseiden, god of the sea. - He liked her because of her beauty but she turned him down many times. -If she wanted to stay in athenas temple she had to stay a virgin -Poseiden was in a fued with athena, and saw Medusa as a possession he could steal from athena. -He was tired of being rejected by Medusa so he decided he would take her by force -Athena gave Medusa no protection, so Poseiden took medusa -Athena ws displeased with Medusa so she turned her once beautiful hair into a head

Long ago, there was a king called Uttanapada, who had two wives, Suniti and Suruchi. Suniti was not a rich woman who often seemed sad, while Suruchi was young, charming, and lived a life of lush and fortune. Suniti had a boy named Dhruva, and Suruchi had a son named Uttama. Uttanapada would always visit Suruchi in her palace but would never think of visiting Suniti. One day, Dhruva reached Suruchi palace, where his father Uttanapada lived. He walked in to see Uttama sitting on his fathers' lap, telling jokes and laughing. Dhruva went to hug his father and sit on his lap like his other child. In the village of Yumana lived a woman named Yashoda who had received a unique child from the gods. The child, whose name is Krishna, had supernatural powers and was talented beyond any other child in the village. He was placed in Yashodas bed the night Krishna was born to protect him from his enemies. Yashoda thinks that she is the birth mother of Krishna but does not understand where all his power is coming from. Little does Yashoda know that she is raising a gifted avatar. Krishna was just a boy when he started to realize his talents and started using them to stir up trouble. He was always getting yelled at by the villagers to stop his nonsense, and sometimes they would even go as far as returning him to his mother.
